What is GRANAMET?
The Granada Network of Translational Research in Metabolism (GRANAMET) arises within the University of Granada, and its main objective is to promote scientific collaboration to advance the knowledge of metabolism. GRANAMET is based on a translational approach that spans from the investigation of molecules and the cellular environment to clinical research, thus allowing to face great challenges in metabolic research. Thanks to this translational approach, GRANAMET aims to create a forum to translate discoveries from the laboratory to clinical practice, and to move questions from clinical practice back to the laboratory. GRANAMET's mission is to place the Granada research ecosystem at the forefront of metabolism research, fostering collaboration between various health and academic institutions to achieve significant advances in this field. Our periodic meetings will feature early-career researchers as protagonists to promote their training and help them build a network of contacts that will support the development of their professional careers.
